Drought Contingency Plan
The Texas Water Code requires all retail public water suppliers to prepare and adopt drought contingency plans in order to conserve the available water supply and protect the integrity of water supply facilities, with particular regard for domestic water use, sanitation, and fire protection, and to protect and preserve public health, welfare, and safety and minimize the adverse impacts of water supply shortage or other water supply emergency conditions. The District’s Drought Contingency Plan is available below.

Water Conservation Plan
Retail public water suppliers are also required to prepare and adopt water conservation plans to ensure water use efficiency. These plans establish a strategy or combination of strategies for reducing the consumption of water, reducing the loss or waste of water, improving or maintaining efficiency in the use of water, or increasing recycling and reuse of water. Water conservation plans should also set forth best management practices aimed at meeting the targets and goals identified within the plan, such as objectives for water savings, water loss programs, and municipal and residential use. The District’s Water Conservation Plan is available below.
